    农作物和木材生产转型可以减少40%的物种灭绝风险


    Gland，瑞士，2021年4月8日（IUCN）——今天发表在《自然生态与演化》杂志（Nature Ecology & Evolution）上的一篇论文指出，确保农作物和木材生产的可持续性是减缓陆生野生动物种群下降最为重要的途径，可以降低两栖动物、鸟类和哺乳动物40%的总体灭绝风险。这一结果使用了一种新的度量标准，首次允许企业、政府和公民社会评估他们对遏制全球物种丧失的潜在贡献，并且可以用于量化国家、地区、部门或特定机构的生物多样性目标。这项工作由英国纽卡斯尔大学牵头建立的“IUCN物种生存委员会2020年后工作组”组织，与世界上21个国家54个机构的科学家合作完成。
