The nominations are open for the participation in the following task forces and expert groups:
- Task force on capacity building;
- Task force on indigenous and local knowledge systems;
- Task force on knowledge and data;
- Expert group on the production and integration of assessments from and across all levels;
- Assessment on pollination and pollinators associated with food production;
- Methodological assessment on scenario analysis and modelling;
- The scoping of a methodological assessment on the conceptualization of values of biodiversity and nature’s benefits to people;
- Expert group on policy support tools and methodologies.
All nominations of experts to contribute to the above opportunities should be sent by email to the IPBES Secretariat (secretariat@ipbes.net) by 28 February 2014 at the very latest, accompanied by a full Curriculum Vitae and a clear indication to which work programme deliverable the nomination is made.
For detailed requirements, nomination template and application process, please consult the full notification of the IPBES Chair here or visit the IPBES official website.
A subsequent call will seek nominations of experts for scoping and authoring regional and sub-regional assessments, and assessments relating to land degradation and restoration, invasive alien species, and sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity. This call for nominations of experts will be circulated by the IPBES Secretariat towards the end of March 2014, with a deadline for nominations in June 2014.
