As its official advisor on nature, IUCN makes recommendations to the World Heritage Committeeon on all matters related to natural World Heritage, including on new sites proposed for inscription and on action to support sites facing threats. The Committee discusses and makes decisions based on these recommendations.
IUCN recommendations
IUCN's recommendations for 2020 and 2021 have now been released by the UNESCO's World Heritage Centre, in two dispatches on 4 and 21 June 2021.
