IUCN and Shell have agreed to work together to address key conservation challenges, including focusing on rehabilitating the Mesopotamian marshlands in Iraq.
In the Majnoon oil field in southern Iraq, IUCN is working with Shell, Wetlands International and others to help ensure that oil and gas development does not cause harm to the country’s Mesopotamian Marshes and to contribute to their restoration.
