UN Environment has partnered with IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, the Global Judicial Institute on the Environment, the Organisation of American States, Global Witness, Ministério Público Federal, Museu do Amanhã, and Instituto de Desenvolvimento e Gestão to launch a major international initiative on environmental defenders at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
