IUCN has developed a number of studies, guidelines and case studies to help companies improve their reporting on biodiversity and ecosystems.
Business is increasingly interested in valuing and measuring their impacts and dependencies on nature. In addition, some countries now require companies to include such information in their corporate reports. For example, in France, certain companies are required to report on their commitment to biodiversity conservation. However, they admit they often find the forms and approaches difficult to understand. Therefore, the IUCN French Committee prepared a study to help companies improve their biodiversity reporting methodologies, and this guidance is applicable to all countries, legal contexts and industry sectors. Other studies and examples of biodiversity reporting and ecosystem valuation can be found in the Resources section.
