Each year, IUCN experts attend the annual session of the World Heritage Committee, and make recommendations on all matters related to natural World Heritage. The Committee discusses and makes decisions based on these recommendations.
Composed of representatives from the 21 States Parties to the World Heritage Convention, the Committee is the governing body on World Heritage. IUCN is the advisory body on nature.
