During this reception at the IUCN European Regional Office, the Austrian Presidency of the European Council will present its environmental priorities with a focus on biodiversity policy in particular with regard to the upcoming COP14 of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the EU preparations for a post-2020 biodiversity framework.
This follows the tradition of previous informal receptions at our IUCN office in Brussels, organised by the Estonian and Bulgarian Presidencies of the European Council, in September 2017 and June 2018 respectively.
Representatives of the EU Member States, the European Commission and civil society will contribute to this dialogue about the environmental priorities of the Presidency.
