Daniel Simberloff
Daniel Simberloff is Gore Hunger Professor of Environmental Studies at the University of Tennessee. Professor Simberloff received his A.B. and Ph.D. from Harvard University, and has spent his working life dedicated to research in ecology, conservation biology and invasion biology, authoring over 500 publications. Notably, he won the Mercer Award for his work in island biogeography and played an instrumental role in setting USA legislation on invasive species. He is editor-in-chief of Biological Invasions and member of the IUCN SSC Invasive Species Specialist Group.
