Joao Campari
Dr Joao Campari is Global Leader of Food Practice at IUCN Member organisation WWF, and Chair of the UN Food Systems Summit Action Track 3 on boosting nature-positive production. He leads efforts to enhance the sustainability of the global food system through: sustainable agriculture and aquaculture; sustainable diets; reducing food loss and waste. Prior to WWF, Dr Campari was Special Sustainability Advisor at the Ministry of Agriculture in Brazil, President of the Low-Carbon Agriculture Platform, and Executive Secretary of the Agribusiness Commission on Sustainable Development. Dr Campari holds a PhD in environmental economics. His research focuses on the links between rural poverty, natural resources management, and agriculture.
