Alongside our work as the official Advisor to UNESCO, the IUCN World Heritage Programme is leading a series of initiatives to make the World Heritage Convention more effective and relevant to global conservation. These include our flagship monitoring programme, the IUCN World Heritage Outlook, and initiatives focused on improving management and capacity, reinforcing policy and recognising success and leadership.
