Improving the way knowledge on forests is understood and used internationally (KNOWFOR II)
SUMMARY: KNOWFOR provides policy makers and practitioners in developing countries and the international community with strategic knowledge, comparable evidence, reliable tools and systematic analysis on forest landscape restoration. KNOWFOR project has been a key catalyst in IUCN’s efforts to raise international awareness and efforts to facilitate restoration activities and progress towards meeting the Bonn Challenge target of restoring 150 million hectares of degraded and deforested lands by 2020 and 350 million hectares by 2030.
